MOVE is the newest initiative by the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association to support the professional success and development of veterinarians through social and educational networking opportunities.

River Rats Water Ski Show - Wednesday, July 24th, 2024
Back by popular demand! Join MOVE: Minnesota Opportunities for Veterinarian Engagement at the Twin Cities River Rats Water Ski Show on Wednesday evening July 24! MVMA members, DVM non-members, vet support staff and your families are invited to come out for a night of action packed themed water skiing on the Mississippi River! This is a very kid friendly event and we encourage you to bring out the whole family.
The event is completely free. RSVP on our Facebook event. Street parking is available on West River Road south of Broadway Avenue and side streets as well as in the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board parking lot at 2117 West River Road. The pre-show begins at 6:30 p.m. but we encourage arriving early to engage with your veterinary community and because parking gets packed! It’s a good idea to carpool or use a ride share service to get there. Main show starts at 7 p.m.
For watching the show, we will set up camp early in front of the big red concession stand tent. Look for the large yellow and blue blankets. Feel free to bring your own blankets or lawn chairs. All attendees will be provided a meal and drink at the concession stand and we will have coolers with additional fun beverages available too!
Wild Nights at the Minnesota Zoo - Friday, July 26th, 2024
Join MOVE for Wild Nights at the Minnesota Zoo on July 26th from 6-10pm. Bring a plus one to this 18+ festival event, featuring a Wild Night of Rock and Roll. Explore and enjoy an evening filled with live local music, artisan vendors, food, drink, and access to your favorite trails and habitats.
