Are you interested in MVMA’s Power of Ten Leadership Program?

The Power of Ten Leadership (POTL) Program is designed to cultivate leadership capacity in up to ten recent graduates (graduated from a college of veterinary medicine with a DVM degree within the last ten years) and provide unique experiences that will enrich not only the individual, but will benefit the individual’s practice, community, and profession. It’s a way to help recent graduates answer questions like:
“I emerged from veterinary school and I’m in practice – but how can I get a better grasp on what makes me tick?”

“Who am I in the bigger picture, and what can I give to my family, my community, and my profession that will be my legacy?”

“Now that I have a technical staff, how can I form, manage and lead an effective team?”

You will explore personal and professional communication, financial growth, the many facets of organized veterinary medicine, and how to grow as a leader in your practice and your profession. MVMA covers expenses for participants' meals, refreshments, and educational sessions.

Plans are solidified for 2025! We will kick off the year with an all-day session at the 2025 Annual Conference on Saturday, Feb.1 from 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with Dr. Heidi Hulon, Well-Being Consulting Veterinarian, US Pet Health, Elanco Animal Health. Starting in March we meet on Tuesday evenings with social time from 6:30–7 p.m. followed by a 2-hour interactive session centered around the evening’s topic. Please note: November's session will be on a Wednesday evening. We encourage meeting in person when and if possible, but are flexible to accommodate a hybrid meeting format. Previous cohorts have been very hybrid focused so we encourage you to join the group no matter where you live!

Classes create a sense of community and participants will likely build lasting bonds with members of their program class. Please indicate your interest here or call 651-645-7533 to speak to Nicole Kast ([email protected]) to find out more.
