The Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association supports and empowers veterinary professionals, advances animal wellbeing, and promotes public health. As the state's membership association for veterinary professionals, we advocate for the profession at the Capitol, provide valuable resources, and offer continuing education—including the premier annual veterinary conference in the Upper Midwest. We organize networking and volunteer opportunities, support professional development, cultivate leaders, and oversee initiatives that benefit our members and the profession as a whole. Important Information and Upcoming Events

Veterinary Technician Licensure Takes Effect July 1, 2026

MVMA's voluntary certification program for veterinary technicians ends June 30, 2026. Beginning July 1, 2026, veterinary technicians will be included in the Veterinary Practice Act and the Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine will be the licensing body.
