Because of your membership, the MVMA can support and empower the veterinary profession.

What did the MVMA do for me?

Over the last year MVMA was able to:

  • Ensure that veterinarians were deemed essential workers
  • Provide resources and important information to members on changing COVID-19 protocols
  • Connect members through a discussion page on Facebook and through articles in the MVMA Messenger
  • Worked with the Department of Health to have veterinarians included in Phase 1b of the vaccination rollout
  • Advocated for changes in CE allowances so that recorded and video CE count as interactive
  • Pivoted the entire Annual Meeting to be flexible and accessible to all veterinary professionals
  • Partner to help co-host a virtual career fair in lieu of the spring Path-to-Practice
  • Promote sponsored ads that feature our classified ads to boost visibility
  • Adjust to the changing environment and offer creative solutions to help the profession

The MVMA will continue to be a guiding force for the veterinary profession. Thank you for your membership this past year, and we look forward to what this next year holds. Look for renewal notifications in your inbox on June 1.

COVID-19 Update

The Veterinary Profession is currently facing many challenges associated with the COVID-19 crisis. In an effort to continue to support the well-being of our members and the veterinarians of Minnesota, the MVMA has transitioned all of its events to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Live meetings are now web or phone conferences, and our seminars are exclusively webinars. Please continue to check the MVMA website for updates and visit the new COVID-19 Resource page. Recorded webinar sessions are posted on the MVMA YouTube channel and are accessible to everyone.
