Kathryn Diehl, MS, DVM, DACVO
Dr. Kathryn Diehl earned her masters and veterinary degrees at The Ohio State University, then completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Georgia. She went on to complete a residency in comparative ophthalmology and cellular biology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. Subsequently she worked in academia at the University of Minnesota and Auburn University as well as in private specialty practice. She is currently an associate professor of comparative ophthalmology at the University of Georgia.
Seminar: This Seminar will provide a guided but interactive explanation and tour of common ophthalmic lesions of the cornea, lens and fundus; as well as a practical neuro-ophthalmology review and case-based application opportunity.

- Describe practical general practice equipment and methods for evaluation of the cornea

10:00 am-10:50 am Evaluation and Opacities of the Cornea-Part II At the end of this session you will be able to:
- Identify and interpret corneal opacities that are observed, subsequently allowing most appropriate formulation of a differential diagnosis for corneal lesions/disease

11:00 am-11:50 am The Lens and Cataracts At the end of this session you will be able to:
- Review clinically relevant lens anatomy and examination techniques to help identify and localize cataracts
- Differentiate classification schemes of cataracts including causes
- Explain treatment of cataracts
- Discuss a soon to be available promising medical treatment for diabetics, as well as surgery and indications

- Describe practical general practice equipment and methods for evaluation of the ocular fundus

- Identify and interpret fundic examination findings, subsequently allowing most appropriate formulation of a differential diagnosis for posterior segment disease

2:45 pm-3:35 pm I Think I See: Neuro-Ophthalmology from an Ophthalmologist's Perspective At the end of this session you will be able to:
- Describe in-depth the neuro-ophthalmic exam
- Interactively apply those concepts to cases of acute pupil abnormalities and blindness

What will you experience? Once you have accessed the Seminar your computer screen will be dominated with a direct-feed PowerPoint for clarity of viewing, plus the audio and video of the presenter as the slides automatically advance on your screen. Audio for all users will be done over VoIP, which means the sound comes over the internet and is not via telephone. You must have computer speakers or a headset. During the live Q&A you are encouraged to submit questions.

- Registration cancellations must be received 72 hours prior to the seminar. Cancellation refund less a 10% administrative fee.
